Section 01 · About

About the
art.

Boxing is the oldest codified combat sport. The Marquess of Queensberry rules of 1867 gave it gloves, rounds, and the modern shape; the next century gave it Sugar Ray, Ali, and the gym culture that still defines combat sports worldwide.

Inside the ropes it's the simplest art — only the hands count. That simplicity is also why it never runs out of detail: footwork, angles, head movement, distance management. The careers that last 20 years live inside those four words.

What you'll train

Only the hands count. That is exactly why it never runs out of detail.

Footwork, angles, head movement and distance — the four things that separate a boxer from someone who throws punches. Rounds are built on rope, shadow, mitts and bag work, and defence is taught before offence because everything else depends on it.

The art

Two hands and a thousand details. Boxing strips a fight down until only distance, timing and defence are left — which is precisely why fighters are still finding new layers in it thirty years in.

The fight is won or lost far away from witnesses — behind the lines, in the gym, and out there on the road, long before I dance under those lights.
